Sails of Conquest is a pirate-themed board game venture built around a unique blend of strategy, dexterity, and physical interaction. I led the development of the concept from idea to functional prototype, including gameplay mechanics, CAD design, 3D-printed components, visual direction, playtesting, and iteration based on user feedback.
Beyond the product itself, the project became a full business-development exercise: I worked on customer validation, market positioning, go-to-market strategy, manufacturing research, cost calculations, financial planning, and pitch materials for a multi-stage entrepreneurship competition. The project went beyond concept creation by combining hands-on prototyping with the strategic and financial work needed to move toward a realistic launch path.
The project reached the final round of the highly competitive Sontag Entrepreneurship Competition.
